Walk through this world with me

Hey peeps,

I'm currently watching Kerry Katona 'coming clean' it's really terrible car crash type tv.  Avoid.  It was a toss up between this or Teen Mom. I have no tv shame, I'm obsessed with celebrity trash.  But I like documentaries and really intelligent stuff too.  Oh and I read books and things. Ahem.

This weekend we mostly got up to going to the pictures to see Harry Potter.  **Spoiler alert**

I liked it, but equally I wasn't overly impressed with it.  I'm hoping for good things from the second one otherwise I will be most upset.  I thought it was stupid the way that they completely missed out the invisibility cloak even though that is one of the Deathly Hallows and ties into the whole plot.

Also when they go to Godric's Hollow where they see Harry's parent's house - that was one of my favourite bits of the book, with it being a shrine that people have visited etc - his notoriety seems to have been lost a bit in the film.  Also no statue of his parents.  I know they have to cram as much in as possible but these things seem key to me.  Ok, I'll stop being a hopeless geek now.

But this does lead me very nicely to the results of my giveaway.  Congratulations to @teaandruffles - you have won the lovely deer necklace because I liked your Harry based answer.  I will contact you on twitter and get your address.

Yesterday we went for a lovely wintery walk.  It was still very icey under foot and M took great delight in telling me that my choice of footwear was most unsuitable, even though I was wearing wellington boots.

A couple of pictures from my phone:-

The mill close to our house.

The view almost looking down towards the town and our house. Most pleasant.

Today the temperature display in the car showed -7.5. That's crazy talk. I'm not prepared. I was still wearing flip flops last week!

Oh also, I almost forgot. I sort of placed an order for some McFly tickets. And they are sort of at the front near the stage so I can sort of be closer to them.  Close enough even to throw something like, say a pair of pants. I don't remember ever doing anything like this before. I'm scared at what I've become. But I'm also very excited I might not sleep until it happens.

This week I'm going to try to avoid falling over, summon up some 'Christmasey' energy and buy some presents and listen to, oh you know, a legend or two. Like this:-

I now have an appointment with my bed. Word.

Funnily enough I did also notice some incongruities, like at the start when Hermione casts a spell to "erase" her from her parent's minds...did that even happen in the book? i just can't remember. And yes they leave out strange things that don't take much time/space.. but include others that don't even take place...

Yes yes yes. I was really cross there was no statue and no shriney thing, too. And because I'm economical with my comments, I rather love the orange eyeliner! And yay, we have really similar taste in films. x
